Uses for ECS Temporary Odor Control
Our temporary odor control solutions are suitable for a number of applications.
Some scenarios for which our products are ideal include:
Zone of influence testing
In situations where odor cannot be emitted, ECS can provide a temporary system to control odors while the location for an optimum “permanent” system is determined.
During construction/demolition of existing odor control system(s)
Odor control is often a necessary component of a construction site. Our solutions can increase worker safety and comfort during the demolition of an old/existing system and the installation of infrastructure for the new odor control system.
During the design of a permanent system
We can set up our systems and connect to the foul air source with flexible ductwork. We’ve had systems in operation from just a few weeks to several years while the Consulting Engineer/Engineer of Record finalizes the design of a permanent odor control system.
Emergency situations
Temporary odor control systems are often necessary in an emergency to reduce a sudden increase in odorous gases or due to potential corrosion issues.
There are two main options for ECS temporary odor control units: Up to 5,000 cubic feet per minute (CFM) with our 15 HP motor and up to 12,000 CFM with our 25 HP motor. Both systems have a dry media volume of 240 ft3. For airflows that fall below the rated volume of air we’re treating, we rely on variable-frequency drives (VFDs) to dial in the airflow for the application.
