Wet Scrubbers
Wet Scrubbers

Best systems for corrosive chemical & air pollution control
Wet scrubbers, also known as chemical scrubbers, are a unique tool for applications requiring the control of hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) or noxious odors. Wet scrubbers are typically called a packaged system because of their use of chemical and physical processes to remove many compounds at water treatment and industrial processing facilities.
Key Features and Benefits
Sizes from 100 cubic feet per minute (CFM) to 80,000 CFM in one vessel, with efficiencies of 99% or greater
Commonly recommended when multiple compounds need to be removed from one airstream
Easy installation and seamless integration to existing locations

Applications and Use Cases
Some scenarios that are appropriate for wet scrubbers include:
- Locations where space is limited, and inlet loading is relatively low.
- Horizontal flow fume scrubbers provide excellent scrubbing efficiency at a high velocity and flow rate with a smaller footprint.
- Bidirectional flow scrubbers utilize multiple stages of concurrent and counter-current flow in one unit. This is ideal when multiple compounds need to be removed from one airstream.
- Particulate dust scrubbers were developed as an effective method for the removal of submicron size particulates, both solid and liquid, heavy particulate loads that would clog other devices, and gummy, tacky or scaling materials. Eductor scrubbers have been successfully used for the control of corrosive and/or noxious gases and particulate matter in fertilizer, pulp and paper, pharmaceuticals, and chemical plants.
- Degasifying or Air Stripping scrubbers are designed to efficiently desorb or remove contaminants such as VOCs and CO2, from the incoming liquid stream from processes, landfill remediation, and water treatment
- Mist eliminators and demisters can filter and collect fine mist droplets of gas streams before their final release into the atmosphere.
